It’s incredible how technology has been updating every day. At the same time, is incredible how many social media and search engine tools like google let us do so many things for free.
But are they really free?
Something we can be sure about, is when we start growing up, we see how people always want something back, something that they would take as payment. It’s hard to accept it, but its how life works, obviously there are exceptions but most of the time people want something in return. And in this situation with tech, the thing they want is our information.
It doesn’t have to be personal information, but our wishes, desires, surroundings, those things are valuable for marketing. It’s like obvious that this type of companies sells our information to other industries, even if they said they doesn’t. (c’mon we don’t born yesterday)
It is worth it?
Search engine methods like Google are commonly used around the world. By just creating a google account you will be able to do a lot of things, even register on a website by just one click because google has all the info they need. Of course, people use Google because it’s free, but when you think about all the information they got about you, and just by searching some things they instantly shot you with ads on twitter and Instagram damn, it’s rude.
The information in these days, is the most valuable thing for industries and governments, it’s a way they can now you without reaching to you.
We share a lot of things on social media, about family, about our achievements, things we like, adventures, etc. But isn’t better to take everything anonymously? Like every day is harder to keep your information in private. Some people don’t care about that, sometimes neither do I, but it’s creeps me out how much information companies have about me. Of course, Who I think am I? I’m just a simple rice grain inside a country of millions, inside a world of trillions of people, BUT, what if one day I get rich? What if one day I do something that a company doesn’t like? What if that information goes to someone who wants to hurt me? We don’t know!

Well, I’m not telling you this is the salvation, but it really gives me some peace. This browser let me have things in private and without ads. Since I’m using it, it has been really helpful.
It has a system of rewards that give you a cryptocurrency called BAT just by searching things and using the browser normally as always. I reached it out because Splinterlands recommends it to have a better playing experience, so I research about it and its incredible. A Lot of people on crypto-world are using it and probably in a near future most of the people will use it too.
I’m just trying to be less paranoic, but we must care about the information we share.
