1️⃣ Con Covid, bloqueos y problemas de fuerza laboral debido a esto, muchas personas han tenido más tiempo libre que en el pasado. Así que, al repasar algunas de las cosas que has estado haciendo, mi objetivo es llevarnos por el carril de la memoria.
¿Cuál es una receta que ha traído de su infancia que hace hoy y cuál es el recuerdo de la infancia que la acompaña? ¿Cómo te hace sentir?
Para muchos es conocido que no me agrada la cocina pero las sopas me quedan bien. El recuerdo culinario de mi mamá que conservo en mi mente son las hallacas. Este es un plato tradicional navideño que dicen “Las mejores hallacas las hace mi mamá”, todos dicen eso respecto a su mamá. Cuando mi madre hacía hallacas, siempre me correspondía lavar las hojas; luego que ella fallece mis hermanas y cuñadas se encargaron de la elaboración del plato y yo siempre lavando hojas.
It is known to many that I am not fond of cooking but soups suit me well. The culinary memory of my mom that I keep in my mind is hallacas. This is a traditional Christmas dish that they say "The best hallacas are made by my mom", everyone says that about their mom. When my mother made hallacas, it was always my job to wash the leaves; after she passed away my sisters and sisters-in-law took over the preparation of the dish and I always washed the leaves.

Gracias a Dios y a mi esposo, tuve la disponibilidad económica para hacer mis hallacas en las dos fechas importantes del mes de diciembre. El día 24 cené con mis hijos, uno de mis hermanos y 3 invitados. Me sentí feliz, muy dichosa por ese acontecimiento. Eso fue el inicio para salir de una tristeza profunda por la que travesaba.

En Venezuela no se dan las 4 estaciones debido a su ubicación geográfica, en el cual la inclinación de los rayos solares son más directos, por encontrarse en la zona intertropical su incidencia es casi perpendicular durante todo el año.

Acá en Venezuela florece nuestro árbol emblemático, el araguaney pero eso también ha cambiado, casi no se ven. Me gusta el sonido de la lluvia y del verano me gusta el sol que me calienta, lo malo es la calor.
