Mandatory anything requires enslavement of those that dissent.
IF I cause damage with my car driving I should be held accountable for that, but IF I drive safely without insurance, where is the crime?

Crimes have victims, mandatory insurance is pre-crime.
As are all traffic tickets that don't involve harm to another.
We need to remind our tyrannical overlords that they over reach, imo.
