I spent a bunch of time editing a cool video, only to realise I had mucked the whole thing up. Such is the case when you begin doing something for the first time. There will always be mistakes along the way. Anyway, in this video I go through how to select your niche when it comes to affiliate marketing.

To give an idea of what I cover in the video, choosing your niche is one of the most important components of starting your affiliate marketing business. Your niche can be changed later down the track, but in order to get started, I suggest you start with just the one niche initially.
In order to select your niche, grab a blank sheet of paper, and write down 5-10 topics you are interested in. These can be anything such as hobbies, sports, or a particular skill you have. If you are struggling with this step, I would suggest thinking about your work history. Is there any skill you can call upon and can create content on at will?
Once you have your 5-10 topics, rank them 1-10 from highest to lowest, where number 1 is the topic you are most passionate about (you don't need to be an expert in it at this point, just have enough interest to learn about it and create content on).
So, now you have a list of niches you can use, and a number of others you can move into once you get a bit of traction. You can also use your initial niche to find correlations within the others, and leverage off those as well.
