Funny you should mention the Haejin / Rancho thing. Similar thing happened to me when I got a 10% Blocktrades vote to have it nullified and then some by Rancho.

I think you bring up great points. Despite the good intentions, I can see how the situation could quickly devolve if the malicious voter was shrewd in stirring up opposition via targeted upvotes.

If it were me, I would go after the loudest and generally respected users, grab a bag of popcorn and then watch the shitstorm from my anon account.

Seems to me maybe the only way to neutralize an anon malicious DV account would require another anon ran by someone willing to sacrifice their stake. Not sure if I see any other solution.
