My friend, Jesse Boyd, luckily was able to snap this photograph during the storm in Kentucky which spawned multiple tornadoes that killed at least 50 people. Link
It was a rough night here in Trenton, Kentucky. We watched the tornado wall pass right beyond those street lights while taking shelter in a local coffee shop. Praise God we finally got some sleep. It got real bad some hours later, but we were too tired to care. Israel sowed the wind and reaped the whirlwind (Hosea 8:7), and sadly, so has America. #thelongwalkusa
I remember meeting Jesse, the traveling street preacher, in North Carolina. We met in Surf City Baptist and he and his friend expressed intent to open-air preach in a local festival in Holly Ridge. It was at this time that the local police took issue with his voice amplification device and arrested him without so much as a warning if I do recall.
One thing I do note is this man sure does get around. I recall seeing pictures of his ministry in Nepal and all over the world including 46 foreign countries on five different continents. (Wow) I cannot say I envy him as it seems to be a rough life not that I could really entertain such a lifestyle with our two little girls one of whom is special needs. Even so, not everyone's path is the same and I highly respect the path he has chosen.
After noticing this awe inspiring photograph, I reached out to Jesse a bit puzzled how he could have timed it so perfectly. I thought surely there had to be special equipment involved.
Lo and behold, it was taken with a mere iPhone!
