This week's share your battle focuses on Angelic Mandarin, a Rare ranged attacker that only costs 3 mana for a decent amount of health and speed and picks up two great abilities at level 4 and 8 - Triage (heals the most injured backline creature) and Silence (reduces Magic Attack by 1).
A variety of the already beautiful mandarinfish, the Angelic Mandarinfish is said to be blessed by the magic of the sea. They swim in the most gorgeous of tropical waters, and live peaceful lives in harmony with all around them. It is said that the touch of an Angelic Mandarinfish has healing properties. And that if one sees an injured person in need, they will swim up and stare into your eyes. As if looking into your soul. If they deem you to be kind, they will heal your wounds.
Humans should probably strive to be more like these fish living in harmony with all around us though the whole deem you to be kind seems an ethical copout. The Angelic Mandarin Hippocratic Oath is karmically based I guess, which is fine.. lifeboat ethics amirite?
This battle has a Blast ruleset with only 21 mana so I thought I'd be clever and do little dude speed and sneak spam with Angelic Mandarin in the backline to help mitigate some blast damage. Too bad my opponent was cleverer.
We're both using Tide Biter to block all tank position blasts but the cruel barnacle is no match for a pissed off trampling dinosaur. Diemonshark got me all tore up from the floor up or some equivalently cringe catchphrase from a decade ago.
One lesson learned is that it's more important to ensure you are getting the best comparative value out of your mana. A hard thing to do when the timer is ticking and the beer glasses are clinking.
