“Are you sure that you will do it?”
“...I hesitate, but this has been my dream since I was a kid.”
“But you did not forget what happened, right?”
I sighed.
“Yes”
I know that this is a tough and brave move, I feel hesitant if I should continue, but I want to do this. I have been waiting for this for a long time. This has been my long time dream.
I did not expect that this would be hard.
I thought it would be easy for me because I am waiting for this, but why do I feel nervous when it’s finally in front of me? This is the opportunity.
I can finally fly and land on Mars.
Yes, after 8 years of waiting and studying Mars. The plan will finally happen.
The plan to Mars is a long term project of our organization to study this planet. The main objective is to learn if we can live on it once the Earth can’t handle the behavior of the people anymore.
But our plan could not be continued when the satellites detected something strange. That shifted our attention from Mars-to-live to UFOs and Aliens.
I know that it is funny, we should not believe in conspiracy, but we can’t remove the fact that it is possible.
I don’t believe in it. That’s my belief.
I prepared myself for this, and I think I am ready.
I don't want to miss this opportunity, even my aunt can’t stop me. We had an argument earlier because she is worried.
I can’t blame her though. It’s been eight years since that incident happened, but we will never forget it.
I fixed and prepared the things that I will need. It’s only 12 hours before launch, by that time, I will leave the Earth together with my colleagues.
We were having fun with my colleagues when our captain called me.
“Bravo! Someone is at the door” he said.
I grabbed the door and saw my aunt standing in front of me. You will feel her worried-look on her face.
I sighed.
“Aunt, I know that you are worried, but this is my dre—”
I haven’t finished my words when she hugged me.
“I know, I know. I’m sorry for stopping you. I just want to do my duty as your aunt, and it is what you parents wanted me to do.”
“I understand, but you don’t have to do it okay? I’m a grown up now. Don’t you trust me? My team?”
She looked into my eyes and then gave me a light smile, but you will feel her sincerity
“Okay, then. I trust you and your team. Good luck on this project. Go back as soon as possible, okay?”
I smiled then hugged her.
“Yes sure. Should I bring a stone from Mars and give it to you?” I replied jokingly.
She laughed at me.
“Sure, why not! I will sell it for $10 million”
We laughed at each other.
I love my aunt, I treat her as my mother. This is how we treat each other, like a normal and happy family.
“Time to rest, Bravo. You should have full energy before we send you on Mars”
We were in the middle of the conversation when the captain shouted.
Before she left me at the headquarters, she gave me a bracelet.
“Wear this, okay? This is your mom’s.” she smiled.
I received the bracelet and smiled at her.
“Thank you”
She left the headquarters. She is smiling but I know that she is not feeling well.
I decided to lay down on my bed.
There are a lot of emotions. Nervous, happy, sad, curious…my mind is full of emotions. It is full of doubts.
I closed my eyes and slept unconsciously because of my thoughts.
