While working yesterday, I was frustrated by how messy my desk is. A lot of disorganized books, things, and random stuff on my table. Not to mention the wires on my table because of the laptop charger, mouse, and other cords.
I told myself that I will be cleaning this today. And finally, this is another episode of my Decluttering My Workspace series.
I started to my side space where my mini-shelf is always a mess. A lot of stuff was in there and you will see how disorganized this mini-shelf is. Anyway, this is actually not a shelf but a file organizer. I call it a shelf because it looks like one.
I bought this on Shopee for only 85 pesos and it is worth it. I can now manage my books and notebooks easily.

I emptied the shelf and wiped it. Most of the things in here are my books, scratch notebooks, chargers, essentials, accessories, etc. Do you see that? It is like all in one space! But it is not recommended because it will make you disorganized.
You will see how old these notebooks are. I use them as my scratch paper when the professor is discussing. As you know, college life is very different from high school where our teachers are giving us time to write everything from the board and PowerPoint.
Now, you have to write while listening so it will be messy handwriting. When I do not feel lazy, I rewrite them in a clean notebook so I will have a copy of them.
Here are my collection of books. I often buy books, but I rarely use them. I don't know why but I always overthink that I might use them with my studies. Yes, sometimes, but we rarely use them. There are times that I use them as another source of information while reviewing for quizzes or exams. But engineering books are complicated. It has several elements and symbols that make it more confusing.
Aside from engineering books, I also have non-fiction books like Atomic Habits, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fck, The Intelligent Investor, etc. Maybe I should write the history behind why I bought them (some of them are not yet finished to read).

And here is the result of cleaning my table. It looks like a mess (still) but it is better than before. I need more space to declutter or maybe I need to become minimalist considering that my space is limited. Hopefully, soon I can have my own room and work and study area so it will become easier for me to study and work. It is always good to work in a good environment and setup after all.
When I bought a laptop, I was informed that it has only one cooling fan that makes it hotter every time I use it. I also noticed that it is a bit lagging when it is heating. So I decided to buy this laptop cooling pad for only 283 pesos.

The product is lighter and blowing more slowly than expected. The air when you blow using your mouth is better than the fan, but it is not bad though. I also bought this not only for a fan but also because you can elevate it like a laptop stand.
For me, it is better to work with a laptop stand because it is not hurting my wrist while typing and I can easily type words when the keyboard is elevated.
Overall, working in a good, clean, and comfortable environment is a must. It is one of the best things to invest in. It is always important to work and study in a place where you are comfortable. So make sure that you are organized and using good-quality devices for a better outcome.
