After Golos and the upcoming VICE Industry Token, now another business has announced that it will launch it's own platform using STEEM's blockchain technology.
Bob's Repair wants to build a decentralized marketplace for the home-repair industry where home owners and contractors can do business directly. Bob’s Repair will not have membership fees, sign-up costs, or transaction fees. The planned launch of the platform is set for the last quarter of next year.

Before the actual launch of it's blockchain, Bob's Repair will have an ICO starting January 4th, in which it intends to sell it's token at a rate of 1 ETH = 6,000 BOB tokens.

Slowly but surely, more and more developers and businesses will find out that most current smart-contracts platforms like Ethereum are simply unworkable for what they want when it comes to creating a blockchain based online platform. It's hard to build a platform ready for mass adoption when every transaction on the blockchain has a fee or when it takes minutes, hours or even days for transactions to be made. As an example, I think most of us wouldn't be here on Steemit if we had to pay in order to post or give upvotes.

While Ethereum is at 100% capacity with 1.1 million transactions in the last 24 hours, Steem with almost the same number of transactions is at 0.1%. Check for yourself: https://www.blocktivity.info/
