This all the way, it's the same with money. When I was young I used to spend my allowance with no regard, and once you grow up and start noticing the true value of money, and once you start working and realize how hard it is to earn it you start looking at spending from a whole different focus and thus, food you bought with your money tastes twice as good, that Steam game you buy with your own money is twice more enjoyable... and wasted money hurts ten times more if it's your hard earned money and not just your grandpa's cash he gives you every sunday...
