Friends may come and go, but we need God in our daily lives, this is the very right time for you to start serving God, to start knowing the truth about God.
Ecclesiastes 12:1
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
The recommendation is, remember thy creator in the days of thy youth. So in our youthful years of life, we must remember or serve our creator. As a young person, you must thirst for God, you must put God first in anything you do.
Pressure will surely come up, especially when you are minging with the wrong people and you are much concern on earthy things. As a damsel, as a lad, you may be pressured doing things that is against God's will , e.g fornication, drugs, smoking, parting etcetera, but if you are rooted and grounded in the word of God, you be able to overcome the pressure.
1 Corinthians 15:33
Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
That's why it is very vital to have a sound foundation in the teachings of Our Lord Jesus Christ, in order to have the power to overcome pressure. Friends may come and go, but we need God always in our daily lives.
Psalm 1:2-3
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Don't think of yourself as a hypocrite because you do to Church even when you are under pressure from your peers, or from your friends, because it is a sign that want to give a part of life and time or devote your part of e youthful activities to something spiritual, that attending Church and getting to know more aboutl God.
The problem is the kind of Church youths are attending, sometimes, youths are not well oriented about the true teachings of the Lord, and once they are rooted in the word of the Lord, they can be easily deceived.
Being a youth, you should know that the Bible is the basis of your faith, and faith is the most important part of our living on earth. And faith is the most important thing that we must fix oi attention to because, it is a way by which we can attain salvation.
My advice to every youth out there is, in order to overcome peer pressure, is to know God for yourself, show interest in the things of God. Let your life be dedicated in knowing the truth about God.
Knowing the reason of your existence and knowing the existence of everything you can see and perceive by learning by the truth of God in the Bible.
