Saleforce's chief scientist Richard Socher once said “What some folks like Elon Musk are worried about is an existential threat that AI might pose, and that is really unfounded because we don’t really have a credible research path right now towards artificial general intelligence —that will set its own goals.”
The current state of AI is “not even close” to the level of human understanding since computers don’t yet have as many “transfer learning capabilities” as the brain.
Nevertheless, if human ever achieved duplicating human intelligence and understanding or even could modify it like a fiction, the game characters might get alive then transform into robots.
And there would be a time when those virtual world's characters got alive and messed up with real world, like what Elon Mush said "AI could be dangerous than Nuclear things".
So as such, it's a huge responsibility for gaming developers and publishers to be careful about stories and characters they are creating.
Where the next generations’ invention could be so unforeseen.
