A cold and windy Spring day it was. The northwest wind howled all day long. The sun was out the sky was blue. I bundled up and went off for a long walk down my road.

Red wintergreen berry and they truly taste just like wintergreen. They are most plentiful here.
I enjoy stopping a picking them when I'm out walking.
This old interesting weathered stump caught my attention.
Old fungi growing in the crotch between two Beech trees.
I was hoping to see some woodducks in this spot where the marsh is very close to my road. I did see a pair but they saw me first and quickly took to flight.
I pair of Mallard ducks resting on log this evening.
I'm sorry the photo isn't that great. I couldn't get to close without disturbing them.
A wonderful great vision to see at the end of my day outside my cabin.
