While stacking a small pile of firewood several weeks ago I noticed an interesting fungi on a piece of Oak bark.

My first thought was maybe Bear鈥檚 tooth or maybe Lion鈥檚 mane but I very strongly doubted either of those.
A Google search led me to a few fungi photos that looked like what I had...
Radulomyces copelandii

A combination of a crust fungus and a toothed fungus.
A definite new fungi find for me.

During the task of removing some tree limbs that had fallen down on my driveway after a gusty windy day I saw a patch of Jelly fungus on this rotten Maple tree branch.

Wishing I taken a better pictures and more of them.

Cortinarius iodes

Last evening I was browsing through some fungi pictures I had taken last year.
Only twice in my lifetime have I found a viscid violet cort mushroom (amanita sp.)
I was hoping to see it this year and looked in the same area where I had seen before. No sighting. Hopefully next year.
