On this occasion I show you how I made from scratch a golden folder with gift paper or wrapping, I love working with this material because it is a very practical paper and at the same time beautiful for its designs of prints in flowers and dolls that I feel that although it is a paper for gift it could be used to decorate or make other crafts, on this occasion I chose it to cover my folder and give it a very nice style, the process is simple and today I bring it to you.

The first thing we will do is cut our pieces out of the recycled cardboard. We will cut two square pieces to make the back cover of the folder and we will also cut a square out of half of one of those cardboards because we will make a pocket with it that we will put inside our folder to put some things that occur to us or our pencils. I helped myself with the ruler so that our squares would be well marked.

We will place the two pieces of cardboard squares under the wrapping paper and cut the paper 2 cm outwards to be able to glue it inwards. We will do the same process to cover the cardboard of the pocket inside the folder but this time using our yellow bond paper that I had. You can do this with any other paper.

We are going to add our silicone to the paper to stick it to the cardboard and we are going to press so that it sticks well, once stuck we are going to fold our paper inwards to seal it so that the edges of the wrapping paper are not seen on the edge of the folder. I do the same with the cardboard pocket.

As a last step I will cut a square of bond paper to line the inside of our folder and then I will place the cardboard pocket on top. This time I glued it on the left side, press well until the silicone dries and we are done, remember that you can decorate your folder inside with cutouts of little dolls from the same wrapping paper that we have left over, we can place them in the corners as a detail and even to cover imperfections that the paper leaves with the silicone on the surface, anything that you can think of to decorate and personalize your folder is valid 😉👍🏻.
