He had drank a lot,this was tbe 3rd year he lost his wife through childbirth. After Ayomide died,life had been so difficult for Dimeji, he found it so hard to take care of the three children she had left behind; and in the course of trying to combine all together,his work began to suffer,he came late to work,dozed most of the time and didn't meet the deadline for his project works. Due to all this, he was sacked from work. Since then he was unable to get a new job and caring for his three children became more and more diffucult.
His eldest daughter, Jaye,was 15years of age and a very intelligent girl at that; she was always among the top three students in her class, she was in ss2.
His second child, Timi, was 13 years old. He was also smart but stubborn and playful. He loved football and won lots of matches for his school team. He was in Jss3 .
Funmi was the baby of the house,She was just 5 years old. She didnt get to know her mother has she was only a little girl of 2 when she died. Funmi was also very smart for her age and people loved her.
Dimeji knocked at the door," open this door now!!!!" He knocked for a while before Jaye came to open the door,this was because it was late at night and all of them had slept off while waiting for their father to return. As she opened the door,she noticed a strange smell coming from her father;before she could welcome him, Dimeji gave her a hot slap " How dare you keep me out for that long???!!!!"
This was the first time he had raised his hands on any if his children and then Jaye knew ...things would change from then on.
