When a party comes to an end it is the beginning of many memories
Hi, Hive
I'm here today to talk to you about something a little different. Today I tell you how my first party was.
Although I had attended some parties a long time ago, it was more like an escort for my older sister. My mom sent me with her to make sure she didn't do something stupid. So, I had never been to a party where I was the guest.
Almost a month ago, I finished my classes, and the break began. In the last week of school hardly anyone went to school; only us, 9th-graders. That week we were able to interact with the boys and girls from other sections. At the end of classes we all felt that something was missing, so we decided to throw a party to close the 9th year with a flourish.
First, we made a WhatsApp group that included all the 9th year students, from all the sections. We had been submitting ideas for a week or so, and by the end of June, we had almost everything ready. That included DJ, food, and the venue. Afterwards, our parents helped us organize everything. The party would be on July 14.
It was in a club house, with a pool. 54 children confirmed, plus 7 parents, who volunteered to make sure that we would be careful, that nothing would get burned, that no one would die, and that everyone would have fun.
The truth is that I was not very convinced I’d go. I don't have a very festive soul. Also, a week before the party they put on a… Hawaiian theme. That was the last sign from the universe that I shouldn't go. But to my dismay, my mom has a party soul, and she found some Hawaiian stuff from my 12th birthday, so I couldn't run away from this one.
The party was from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. My idea was not to swim in the pool, since there was going to be a lot of people, but it turned out that it was where I spent more time
Honestly, I didn't come with high expectations, but it was a great party. At first, there were not many people. Nobody wanted to be the first in the pool and the DJ was playing horrible music. But little by little people began to arrive. We all got into the pool and were belting out the DJ's songs.
It was like 7 p.m. when everyone got out of the pool. We sat down to eat and then we danced for almost an hour, mostly bachata. That night I discovered that I knew how to dance bachata.
By nine, almost everyone had left. Only the children of the chaperones were left. To say good bye to the DJ, we asked him to play some songs from Violeta, a very old Disney Channel series that was known more than anything for the songs.
We began to sing at the top of our lungs for at least 4 songs and the “pollito pio”. It was amazing, and when we were leaving there was a case of soda left over. With the help of a friend's father we took some. It was fun. With great joy I can say that my first party was a complete success.
