Tener unas ardillitas en casa debió ser hermoso, nunca las he visto de frente.
La vida en el campo es lo máximo, no sólo por las mascotas y animales de la granja, sino por el contacto directo con la naturaleza… me imagino ese bosque que tenía tu mami. Mamá era así, pero mis amigos decían que mi patio parecía una selva, jajajaja. Y no exageraban, un día apareció una serpiente en una enredadera del jardín y no nos movimos de adentro hasta que vinieron los bomberos a llevársela. En la casa grande de la familia también cazaron una tragavenado pequeña porque había un inmenso bosque frutal, y en temporada de lluvia el monte hacía de las suyas… la enjaularon, pero tío no permitió que fuera parte de las mascotas porque estaba creciendo mucho. La donaron al vivero de San Tomé, donde tenían las serpientes. Es demasiado bello crecer entre mascotas y animales de granja, es una experiencia única. Y las tortuguitas son una cosita muy tierna, aquí en la casa quien tuvo una fue Rosamaría, pero bueno, ella tenía un zoológico y su papá se lo llevaba... tortugas, gatos, perros, pericos, y hasta una liebre, jajajaja.

Life in the countryside is the best, not only because of the pets and farm animals, but also because of the direct contact with nature… I can just imagine that forest your mom had. My mom was like that, but my friends said my yard looked like a jungle, hahaha. And they weren't exaggerating; one day a snake appeared in a vine in the garden, and we didn't move from inside until the firefighters came to take it away. At the family's big house, they also caught a small boa constrictor because there was a huge fruit orchard, and during the rainy season, the undergrowth was wild… they caged it, but my uncle wouldn't let it be one of the pets because it was growing too big. They donated it to the nursery in San Tomé, where they kept the snakes. It's so beautiful to grow up surrounded by pets and farm animals; it's a unique experience. And the little turtles are such a cute little thing. Here at home, Rosamaría had one, but well, she had a zoo and her dad would take it all... turtles, cats, dogs, parakeets, and even a hare, hahaha.
