Hello everyone, good afternoon. Perhaps many of you have heard the phrase, "They're like cats and dogs," or "They're always fighting like cats and dogs." This phrase is often used to describe people who don't get along at all and can't seem to have a cordial relationship or coexistence.
It's well known that dogs and cats don't really get along well, especially at first glance. My first cats lived with small dogs and there were no problems, until we got a larger pet, and it hurt one of the kittens. After that bad experience, we didn't have dogs and cats together in the house again until, after having Copo de Nieve, a rescued poodle, I was given Piero, one of the twins. They grew up together and got along well, and little by little more dogs and cats came to the house, and a good coexistence became essential.
The last to arrive before Blanquita was Snoopy, and you could say he adopted all the cats and has always gotten along well with them. That doesn't mean the cats want to get along with him; some are quite demanding. But the smallest of them is a free spirit who loves the whole world. When Blanquita arrived a few months ago, I was relieved because Snoopy used to play very rough with the kitten, and now he could play with her in his own way, since they are identical and have the same rough play style.
Now I'm focusing on the relationship between Blanquita and the cats. She has respected them; considering she arrived as a kitten, that connection has been easier to establish. Snoopy is seven years old, and there have never been any problems between him and the kittens. As for Blanquita, two of the cats have kept their distance from her; they don't bother her, but they don't seek her out either. The special kitten is afraid of them, and that's natural. He approaches cautiously and then hides. And the exception is Chiqui. He not only gets along well with her, but they've forged a very special connection. He pampers her, cleans her ears, and she lets him. I've never seen such a sensitive and harmonious relationship between a dog and a cat. It's a joy to see them together, because he wraps his paws around her.
Animals are definitely unpredictable. Perhaps, as they say, they are somewhat like the love they receive, but in the case of Blanquita and Chiqui, the phrase "Like cats and dogs..." doesn't quite fit.

Hola a todos, muy buenas tardes. Quizás muchos han escuchado la frase que dice: "Parecen perros y gatos", o "Se la pasan peleando como perros y gatos". Esta frase se le atribuye a personas que se llevan muy mal y no logran tener una relación o convivencia cordial.
Es conocido que entre perros y gatos, realmente no hay una buena relación, sobre todo a primera vista. Mis primeras gatas convivieron con perros pequeños y no hubo problemas, hasta que tuvimos una mascota más grande, y le hizo daño a una de las gatitas. Después de esa mala experiencia, no volvimos a tener perros y gatos juntos en la casa hasta que teniendo a Copo de Nieve, un poodle rescatado, me regalaron a Piero, uno de los gemelitos. Se criaron juntos y se llevaban bien, y así poco a poco fueron llegando a la casa más perritos y más gatitos, y la buena convivencia se hizo imperiosa.
El último en llegar antes de Blanquita, fue Snoopy, y se podría decir que él adoptó a todos los gatos y siempre ha llevado una buena relación con ellos. Eso no quiere decir que los gatos deseen congeniar con él, algunos son exquisitos. Pero el más pequeño de ellos, es un alma libre que ama al mundo entero. Cuando llegó Blanquita, de eso hace unos pocos meses, me alivió porque Snoopy tenía juegos muy rudos con el gatito, y ahora con ella podía jugar a su estilo, ya que ambos son idénticos y tienen los mismos juegos bruscos.
Ahora me enfoco en la relación entre Blanquita y los gatos. Ella los ha respetado, consideremos que llegó siendo una cachorra y esa conexión ha sido mas fácil de lograr. Snoopy tiene 7 años, jamás ha habido problemas entre él y los gatitos. Con respecto a Blanca, dos de los gatos se han mantenido al margen de ella, no la molestan pero tampoco la buscan. El gatito especial les tiene miedo, y eso es natural. Se acerca con prudencia, y luego se esconde. Y la excepción es Chiqui, él no sólo se lleva bien con ella, sino que han logrado una conexión muy especial. Él la mima, le limpia sus orejitas, y ella se deja consentir. Nunca había tenido una relación entre un perro y un gato, tan sensible y armoniosa. Da gusto verlos juntos, porque él la rodea con sus patitas.
Definitivamente los animales son impredecibles, quizás como dicen, ellos son un poco semejantes al amor que se les brinda, pero en el caso de Blanquita y Chiqui, no cuadra la frase: "Como perros y gatos..."
