Hello dear Hive community, I hope you are doing very well.As always, it is a pleasure to be able to come to this space to express my love for books, which have been an unconditional refuge for this humble servant.
And today, in this month dedicated to books, I want to share with you the reasons why YOU SHOULD NEVER READ A BOOK.

1. You could fall in love/Podrías enamorarte

1000148762.jpg

I'm not talking about a common love, the kind you feel every day. I'm talking about a love that consumes you and multiplies -with so many beautiful protagonists that we find in each story-, because once you meet a character, you understand what it is to read and feel at the same time. They love, they cry, they struggle... and they convey all of that to the reader. So how are you going to settle for less in real life? Reading makes you meet impossible loves, and sometimes... makes the possible no longer enough hahaha.

2. You lose sleep (literally)/Se te va el sueño (literal)

We all, or at least most of us, have the habit of reading before bedtime. We always plan to read a chapter, maybe two. But then something happens: a sentence, a scene, a twist that leaves you with your heart racing... and you need to know what happens next. Next thing you know, you're there, with your phone or book clutched in your hand, saying, "just one more chapter."

3. It will change the way you see the world./Te va a cambiar la forma de ver el mundo.

Leer te transforma, te instruye y te cambia.

A book can show you a reality completely different from your own, it can give you a perspective that had never crossed your mind. It makes you question what you believed and thought. And that, my dear readers, can be dangerous... because once you open your eyes, the blindfold never goes back on. Reading transforms you, instructs you and changes you.

4. You will suffer /Vas a sufrir

This is also literal. Because when that character you love dies, when two who should be together don't make it, or when the ending isn't what you expected, there's no consolation that counts. The tears are real, even if the scene that breaks your soul is not. Literary grief is one of the most unfairly underrated-and I don't intend to argue with anyone, when I'm still crying over the death of Will Herondale.

5. You will live a thousand lives/Vivirás mil vidas

1000148772.jpg

When you've flown with dragons, walked through London in 1800, danced at a masked ball, eaten with the Queen of England, loved in the middle of a war, or cried on a Paris street... your real, tangible life will seem short. And you will want more. More stories, more emotions, more books. Because living once doesn't seem enough when you can live a different life every week.
