I hope you are all doing well. As always, it is a pleasure to be able to come here and talk to you about what we love so much: books.
But this time I wanted to do it a little differently.
Today, I want to tell you about the three characters I would love to sit down with for coffee, chat with for hours, and perhaps learn more about the fascinating worlds they live in.
Empezamos con una de las elegidas por el destino —y por el caos—: Jude.
Sinceramente, estuve entre ella y Cardan, pero Jude tiene algo que me intriga mucho. Me encantaría preguntarle cómo fue sobrevivir en un reino de hadas donde la crueldad era casi un deporte, y cómo logró mantenerse firme cuando todo parecía estar en su contra.Tomar un café con ella sería como escuchar una historia de guerra, amor y ambición contada por alguien que nunca se permitió rendirse.
Además, tengo la sospecha de que Jude no pediría un simple café… sino un espresso bien fuerte.
We begin with one of those chosen by fate—and by chaos—: Jude.
Honestly, I was torn between her and Cardan, but there's something about Jude that really intrigues me. I would love to ask her what it was like to survive in a fairy kingdom where cruelty was almost a sport, and how she managed to stand her ground when everything seemed to be against her. Having coffee with her would be like listening to a story of war, love, and ambition told by someone who never allowed herself to give up.
Besides, I suspect that Jude wouldn't order a simple coffee... but a very strong espresso.
Evangeline es, sin duda, una de mis protagonistas de fantasía favoritas.
Tiene una dulzura y una curiosidad que contrastan con el caos mágico del norte, ese lugar donde nada es lo que parece.Me encantaría preguntarle cómo es vivir rodeada de hechizos, profecías y personas que esconden más de lo que muestran —sobre todo Jack, claro—.
Creo que sería una charla entre risas, teorías y confesiones, acompañada de un café con canela o tal vez algo rosado, como su esencia.
Evangeline is undoubtedly one of my favorite fantasy characters.
She has a sweetness and curiosity that contrast with the magical chaos of the north, that place where nothing is what it seems. I would love to ask her what it's like to live surrounded by spells, prophecies, and people who hide more than they show—especially Jack, of course. I think it would be a conversation filled with laughter, theories, and confessions, accompanied by a cinnamon coffee or perhaps something pink, like her essence.
Y para cerrar, no con café sino con una copa de vino, elegiría a Aquia.
Es un personaje que me inspira muchísimo. Vivir en un mundo tan injusto, donde las mujeres eran literalmente “vendidas”, y aun así liderar una revolución desde dentro… me parece admirable.Me gustaría preguntarle cómo encontró la fuerza para resistir, qué la impulsó a seguir incluso en las peores adversidades y qué siente ahora al mirar atrás todo lo que logró.Creo que sería una conversación intensa, de esas que te dejan pensando durante días.
And to finish, not with coffee but with a glass of wine, I would choose Aquia.She is a character who inspires me greatly. Living in such an unjust world, where women were literally “sold,” and still leading a revolution from within... I find that admirable. I would like to ask her how she found the strength to resist, what drove her to continue even in the worst adversities, and how she feels now when she looks back on all she has achieved. I think it would be an intense conversation, the kind that leaves you thinking for days.

These are the three literary characters I would love to have coffee (or a glass of wine) with.
I feel that each of them has so much to say, and that their stories would fill any conversation with emotions, reflections, and learning.
