One of the problems of divorce for me is that I fell out of social life. Animals require a lot of time and I have to take this into account. But, on the other hand, the loss of social ties made me more vulnerable. I decided that the situation should be corrected. Therefore, when my client invited me to the opening of her father-in-law's exhibition, I agreed.
It was unusual, because the last nine months I went to the city only to pick up animal feed. Even if I was going to meet my daughter, I still planned the trip so as to pick up food or something else for the animals. And I was always in a hurry. But today I changed it.
I started by re-planning all day. I fed the animals earlier than usual, deciding that it would not harm them. Then I chose clothes that I like, and not one that is comfortable for working with animals, and I went. On the way, I allowed myself to stop to relax and have a cup of coffee with a croissant. I was in no hurry.
The opening of the exhibition was very interesting. My friend introduced me to new people. We had a wonderful time. I even received new information for my lectures on copyright, since most of the paintings were co-written, and this is not too frequent in painting.
So, the first steps have been taken. When I returned home, everything was in order. Animals, of course, were bored, but this was not critical for them. I think that they will gradually get used to it, that sometimes I may be absent longer than usual, and I will get used to thinking about my own life too and not feeling selfish about it.
