Hello guys!
Yeeeeey I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. I'm writing this post to follow Splinterlands Mage Secrets Battle Challenge Super Sneak. This is my first post to participate in this challenge, and I plan to post 2 battles to participate in this challenge.
Well, I'm neither a proplayer nor a tournament hero. I just enjoys sharing strategy and battles that I find interesting in my own view. I played on modern battles on Gold leagues, and maybe the battle strategies I'd share weren't suitable to apply in other leagues because the differences in ability that open up are different from each league. I use a scholar account from Buldog1205 with IGN NIGHTMAREINBONE.
BATTLE PREPARATION
Challenge Rules
RULESET: SUPER SNEAK
Description:
All melee units gain the Sneak ability.
Battle Rulesets
The rulesets in this battle are:
- Super Sneak (All Melee attack monsters have the Sneak ability)
- Weak Magic (Magic attacks hit Armor before reducing Health)
- Mana Capacity 40
- Active Element Life, Death and Dragon.
Line Up and Strategy
In general, the strategy that I will apply is to install the strongest tanks on the front side and rear side. On the front side, the tank will understand attacks from Melee monsters in the first position and Reach monsters in the second position, as well as withstand attacks from Magic and Range monsters. The tank in the back position serves as a barrier to the attack of the Sneak Monster, where in this battle all Melee monsters have the ability to Sneak.
Monster support is also needed to strengthen defenses, but very strong attackers are also needed. So I arranged the line-ip formation as shown in the table below.
| Monster | Position | Abilities | Strategy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Summoner | -1 Range, -1 Speed | Although I didn't plan to use Dragon monsters, I chose Summoner Quix the Devious because I needed a Summoner who could summon Life monsters, but when compared to General Sloan who only had 1 ability, I chose Quix the Devious who had 2 abilities. This is also because I don't plan on using Range monsters, so General Sloan's ability won't be used, while Quix The Devious which reduces Range attacks and also reduces Speed will be more useful. | |
| First | Void Armor, Heal | The Imperial Knight is a tank that fits the criteria I mentioned above. This monster has a Void Armor ability which also has a fairly large Armor, which is 7, and has the ability to Heal. So this monster can withstand Melee, Range, and even Magic attacks, and can last longer with HP Restore from its Heal ability. | |
| Second | Strengthen, Triage | Djinn Renova in second position as an attacker as well as support. This monster has 3 magic damage that can act as an attacer, and has a Strengthen ability that increases the HP of all friendly monsters, and a Triage ability that will be very useful for restoring cellphone from the rear tank which is the target of the Sneak monster. | |
| Third | Flying, Repair, Resurrect, Immunity | Adelade Brightwing in third position, is the terenting support in this formation. This is because of Adelade Brightwing's abilities. Repair ability will repair another comrade's Monster Armor, it could be the Imperial Knight Armor that will be damaged by the opponent's monster attack. In addition, Resurrect ability will revive tanks that died first, whether in the first position or in the last position. Obviously this will be very helpful in defense. In addition, this monster9 still has the ability to Fly and Immunity for self-defense. | |
| Fourth | Bloodlust, True Strike, Piercing, | Jared Scar who has Bloodlust, True Strike and Piercing will be the main attacker in this Super nSneak battle. If Bloodlust is active because the target of this monster's attack is dead, then the stat of this monster will also increase, and obviously with the True Strike ability, the attack of this monster is impossible to miss even though the target is a monster with great speed, or with the ability of Flying or Dodge. These rulesets will be Jared Scar's chance to put on a very interesting show with the Bloodlust party. | |
| Fifth | Shield, Giant Killer | Chaos Knight who has Shield ability will be the second rear tank to face Sneak monsters. In addition, this monster is also an attacker in this formation, with 3 melee attacks. His Giant Killer ability will be very useful if it hits a target with a large mana (10 mana cost) because the damage produced will be received 2x. | |
| Last | Flying, Reflect Magic, Devine Shield | Different from my previous habit where Pelacor Conjurer often became a front tank because it has the ability to survive Magic moans with the Reflect Magic ability, this time I used this monster as a rear tank to become a target for Sneak monsters. By utilizing the Devine Shield Ability, as well as the ability to dodge opponents' attacks from a combination of high speed and Flying ability, I think this monster will also be very strong and will even become an annoying monster in this Super Sneak ruleset. In addition, this monster also gets support that will make this monster have a strong defense to block attacks from Sneak monsters. |
You can see the line-up of both teams from the picture below. Just like myself, the opponent also uses Summoner Quix The Devious even though he doesn't use Dragon monsters.
Although using Summoner Dragon, the opponent uses a combination of monsters from the Neutral element and Death element. In the first position, the opponent chose the Crypt Beetle with the Shield ability. The second position is Harklaw with abilities ShieLd, Immunity and Demoralize. The third position is Disintegrator who has Demoralize and Trample abilities. Then in fourth place there is Legionaire Alvar with the abilities Void Armor, Giant Killer and Demoralize. The sixth position is Ever-Hungry Skull with Flying and Thorn abilities and in the last position there is Doctor Blight with Affliction, Camouflage, Poison and Scavenger abilities.
The opponent has 3 Demoralize monsters, and puts Ever-Hungry Skull who has Thorn as the target of the Sneak monster. What I saw, the opponent also used Doctor Blight who would be the last monster as their Ace. Are you curious about how interesting this battle is? Let's jump into the battlefield arena!

You know, guys, this battle is interesting not because of Jared Scar, but because the strategy used is to use 3 Demoralize monsters, where this can reduce 3 damage melee attacks, and this means that if my melee monster has less than 5 damange then if it hits the monster's Shield, it will only tickle the monster or mean it can't give an attack to the monster. I'm lucky that I still use Magic monsters in this battle.
As usual, this battle begins with buffs and party debuffs from all Summoners and Monsters. The amount of damage I have after receiving a debuff from the opponent's monster is 5 Magic attacks and 5 Melee attacks, while the opponent in one round has 13 melee attacks and 2 magic attacks. The difference is very striking in this first round, even my Jared Scar becomes a toothless monster with only 3 melee attacks.
Ever-Hungry Skull, which is the monster with the highest speed, gets the opportunity to be the first attacker, and his attack hits the Pelacor Conjurer so that the Devine Shield Pelacor Conjurer is damaged. Because the target of the attack from Chaos Knight and Jared Scar is a Thorn monster, so the attack from this monster is like suicide because it turns to yourself. Another apes still happened, where Doctor Blight's Affliction directly hit the Imperial Knight, so the Heal ability of this monster became useless because I didn't have a Monster Cleanse either. In this first round, there were a total of 2 miss attacks on Pelacor Conjurer, and this is still in line with my strategy at the beginning.
Crypt Beetle died shortly after the second round began due to an attack from Djinn Renova. In addition, Pelacor Conjurer also received HP restore from Triage Djinn Renova. It's a pity that Chaos Knight's attack missed hitting the Ever-Hungry Skull. However, the attacks of Leginaire Alvar and Disintegrator also hit Pelacor Conjurer. The second round ended with 5 monsters left on the opponent's side while my formation was still full monsters.
Like the previous round, the third round begins with the Ever-Hungry Skull's attack on the Conjurer cast. The interesting thing that happened in this round was that Jared Scar's Bloodlust was active after Ever-Hungry Skull died from Jared Scar's attack. Attacks from Legionaire Alvar and Disintegrator also missed. If you remember it, these two monsters have not been able to hit the Pelacor Conjurer at all. Until the third round ended, I was still complete with all six of my monsters while on the opposite side there were only 4 monsters left.
Because Ever-Hungry Skull is dead, so now Djinn Renova is the first attacker in this round. Followed by Jared Scar targeting Legionaire Alvar. Then continued with the Chaos Knight whose attack also targeted Legionaire Alvar. Finally, Legionaire Alvar's attack was able to hit Pelacor Conjurer, after the previous round all missed, but the Disintegrator's attack also missed this round.
The Fifth Round begins with Harklaw dying from receiving a Djinn Renova attack. Because apart from 1 Demoralize, Jared Scar's damage is now 5 melee attacks, but unfortunately, because the target of his attack is Legionaire Alvar still has quite a lot of Armor and HP, so Bloodlust has not been active again. It's a pity that the Imperial Knight also got Poison from Doctor Blight in this round. Legionaire Alvar's attack again misses the Pelacor Conjurer. The fifth round ended with 3 monsters left on the opponent's side, while I was still in full formation with 6 monsters left.
The sixth round begins with the Imperial Knight being poisoned, then continues with Djinn Renova's attack on the Disintegrator. Jared Scar's bloodlust is back active after his attack kills Legionaire Alvar. The second Demoralize is released again, the damage from Jared Scar becomes 7 melee attacks, and the Chaos Knight damage becomes 2 melee attacks. At the end of the sixth round, the opponent only left Doctor Blight because the Disintegrator also died because of Adelade Brightwing's attack.
Finally, this battle ended at the beginning of the round after Doctor Blight, who was the last monster to die with only 1 Jared Scar attack. The battle ended with Jared Scar's Bloodlust, which became the closing entertainment. I won this battle with a full formation, without losing 1 dead monster. You can see the final result of this battle in the picture below.
STRATEGY DISCUSSION
The strategy that I applied ran very effectively in this battle. Defense on the front and back sides is quite difficult to penetrate. On the front side, the Imperial knight who has Void Armor with a large enough Armor and Heal ability is the perfect defense for Magic and Range attacks where the target of attack from the monster is the monster in the first position. On the other hand, placing the Pelacor Conjurer as a rear tank was the right decision. This is because Pelacor Conjurer has a very big chance of miss due to the combination of Flying ability and high Speed. In addition, Djinn Renova with Triage ability also supports Pelacor Conjurer to restore HP every Round.
For the attacking side, Jared Scar does his job perfectly. This is indeed a very scary monster because of the abilities it has, in certain situations it will be very deadly and also difficult to stop. Just imagine, this monster has a Bloodlust ability where its stat will increase if the target of this monster dies. While this monster is also equipped with True Strike and Piercing abilities.
If you remember from the strategy used by the opponent, the Magic monster that I have is very helpful, because melee monsters that get demoralize demoralize as much as 3x. This means that the variety of attacks both Melee, Magic, and Ranged is needed in every battle.
