Hello guys!

I'm back with another Splinterlands post, yay. This is the second of two posts I've written in response to the Splinterlands Mage Secrets Battle Challenge Lost Legendaries. With these rulesets, I was finally able to get a second battle. Even though it's hard to find, I was able to get a combat with these Lost Legendaries rulesets just as my energy was running low.

I'm not a professional player or a tournament hero, so. I merely like to discuss battles and strategies that, in my opinion, are worthwhile. I used my scholarship account with IGN btlzr-wizard-700 to play on modern fights in Diamond leagues, so perhaps the battle methods I'd offer weren't appropriate to apply in other leagues because the distinctions in ability that open up are different from each level.

Without further ado, let's get to the point of this piece, guys!

Battle Rulesets

rulesets.png

The rulesets in this battle are:

  • Lost Legendaries (Ledendary Monsters may not be used in battles)
  • Back to Basic (Monsters lose all abilities)
  • Holy Protection (All Monsters have the Devine Shield ability)
  • Mana Capacity 19
  • Active Element Water, Earth, Life, and Dragon.

Line Up and Strategy

In accordance with the rulesets above, I will implement several strategies, including:

  • Using Summoner which gives buffs increased damage, because all monsters lose abilities, so Summner is the only buff giver for all monsters.

  • Using low mana for as many monsters as possible to collect the most damage is also considering that all monsters lose all their agility

  • Holy Protection makes all the first attacks that hit monsters ignored, so try to fill the slot with monsters, even if those with only 1 Health are available.

I'll describe the strategy of each monster I chose for this battle in the table below:

MonsterPositionAbilitiesStrategy
ObsidianSummoner+1 MagicObsidian will increase damage from magic attacks, and this will be very useful in battles with Back to Basic rulesets, especially magic attacks will directly hit Health without the need to damage the Armor first.
Hill GiantFirstStunLow mana is a monster that only has 3 mana but has faulty damage and large HP. It is suitable for low mana battles like this battle.
Chaos AgentSecondDodge, Phase, BackfireChaos Agent is a non-damage tank that only requires 1 mana, but has many abilities. Even though in these rulesets all monsters lose all their abilities, but this monster is still useful as a tank, especially supported by Holy Protection rulesets, so this monster will hit at least 2 attacks from opponent monsters.
Acid ShooterThirdScattershotEven though this is a range monster, because the damage is not too big, I deliberately put this monster in front of the magic monster that is the main attacker. So actually this monster is not only an Attacker if the monster in front of it is still there, but also as a tank for the monster behind it.
Regal PerytonFourthFlyingRegal Peryton is the main attacker in this battle, Cause has great magic damage, and also high speed. In these rulesets, the opportunity to dodge the opponent's attack is also very important, and with Regal Peryton's high speed, he has that opportunity.
Venari SpellsmithFourthDispel, Amplify, RedemptionAnother magic monster that will accompany Regal Peryton as an attacker.

You can see the complete line-up of both teams in the picture below. The opponent uses Summoner Kelya Frendul who has +1 Armor and +1 Speed buffs. The opponent has 1 Melee monster, 1 Magic monster and 3 Range monsters.

I've also included a youtube video of this battle that you can play right away.

round1.png

  • As usual, battles begin with party buffs from Summoners as well as from Rulesets. There are no buffs from Monsters because all monsters lose their abilities.
  • Regal Peryton became the first attacker in this battle because he had the most speed.
  • Giant Hill became the first monster to die, after receiving an attack from Cruel Sethropod.

round2.png

  • Round 2 begins with Cruel Sethropod dying from Regal Peryton's attack.
  • Chaos Agent also died after getting consecutive attacks from 3 range monsters at one time.
  • Now I only have 3 monsters left.

round3.png

  • The third round began with Peral Peryton's attack on Angelic Mandarin.
  • Angelic Mnadarin finally died at the end of the third round after being attacked by Venari Spellsmith.
  • Both teams have 3 monsters left.

round4.png

  • Regal Peryton's attack hit Venari Wavesmith's Devine Shield, so his attack was ignored.
  • Acid Shooter died in this round after receiving an attack from Venari Wavesmith.

round5.png

  • The fifth round began with Venari Wavesmith mai for receiving an attack from Regal Peryton.
  • Regal Peryton's Devine Shield and Igorsama's were damaged in this round.

round7.png

Finally, this battle ended in the round with the safety I got. I won with 2 monsters left. You can see the final result of this battle in the picture below. I got 50k delegates stake SPS to get this result.

CONCLUTION

The strategy I applied worked very effectively on this battle. I won the match with 2 monsters left. It seems that placing magic monster in the back position is the right choice, because if what is left is a Range monster like the opponent's own, this will not be useful because Range monsters cannot attack in the first position if it is not for special abilities or special rulesets.

Okay pguys, I think that's all I have to say for now. I appreciate you reading my blog, and please don't forget to vote it up and leave a comment. Use this link to create an account if you want to start playing Splinterlands but haven't already: https://splinterlands.com?ref=anif1908.
