Hello guys!

Yeeeeey I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. I'm writing this post to follow Splinterlands Mage Secrets Battle Challenge Melee Mayhem. Well, Lately I've found that my health is not good, so I only play Splinterlands a little, and well to join this challenge I have a little difficulty because these rlesets are a bit rare. Sometimes when I find battles with these rulesets I also lose, because of the limited cards I have. I finally found an interesting battle that I could share with you.

Guys, as you know, I'm neither a proplayer nor a tournament hero. I just enjoys sharing strategy and battles that I find interesting in my own view. I played on modern battles on Gold leagues using Bulldog1205 Scholarship account with IGN NIGHTMAREINBONE, and maybe the battle strategies I'd share weren't suitable to apply in other leagues because the differences in ability that open up are different from each league.

Ok guys, without further ado, let's get straight to the heart of this post!

Battle Rulesets

The rulesets in this battle are:

  • What Doesn't Kill You (All Monsters have the Enrage ability)
  • Melee Mayhem (Melee attack Monsters can attack frpm any position)
  • Little League (Only Monsters and Summoners that cost 4 mana or less may be used in battles)
  • Mana Capacity 45
  • Active All Elements.

Line Up and Strategy

In accordance with the rulesets above, there are several strategies that will be applied, including:

  • Choose a powerful Tank with great Speed and can survive Magic, Melee and Range attacks.
  • Make the most of Buffs and Debuffs, especially those related to speed, in order to avoid the opponent's attacks and have the opportunity to attack first.
  • Because this is a Little League battle, as much as possible choose monsters that have as much damage as possible so that they can finish off enemy monsters as quickly as possible.

You can see the line-up of both teams in the picture below:

line-up.png

I used the Summoner of the Life element, General Sloan while the opponent used Tarsa of the Fire element with 4 Neutral mnsters and 2 Fire monsters.

Zenith Monk with Heal and Void is the opponent's main tank, followed by Antoid Platoon who has Shield abilities, and Scavenger in second place, Venari Spellsmith with Dispell and Amplify abilities in third place, Exploding Rats with Blast and Redemption abilities in fourth position, Uraeus with Sneak and Poison abilities in fifth position, and Doctor Bight who has Affliction abilities, Camouflage, Poison and Scavenger became monsters in the last position.

The monsters I choose and what kind of strategy I apply I will explain in the table below:

MonsterPositionAbilitiesStrategy
General SloanSummoner+1 RangeAlthough I won't use many range monsters, but because I need a Life Summoner that has mana 4 or below that supports the Gold league, then I chose Gerenal Sloan, because this monster is the only one I have.
Pelacor ConjurerFirstFlying, Reflect Magic, Devine ShieldI chose Pelacor Conjurer which is a non-damage tank as the main tank because this onster has a high speed along with Flying ability which will increase the ability to avoid Rnage and Melee attacks, and has Reflect Magic for defense against Magic attacks so that Magic attacks will be good at attacking the attacker, and has Devine Shield ability where the first attack that hits this monster will be ignored.
Xenith MonkSecondHeal, VoidZenith Monk who has Heal and Void abilities is in second place as an attacker as well as a second tank that backs up Pelacor Conjurer where if Pelacor Conjurer dies then this monster is ready to replace it as a tank to protect the monsters it kills.
VulguineThirdScavenger, DodgeVulguine, who has the Scavenger ability, I chose to be the monster in third place, as a backup tank as well as an attacker. This monster has 2 Melee attacks, and although the initial HP (Health Points) owned is 4, if there are other monsters that die, the HP of this monster will increase. So apart from being an attacker, this monster can also become a tank if Pelacor Conjurer and Xenith Monk die.
Time MageFourthSlow, RustTime Mage, who has Slow and Rust abilities, is the most important monster support in this battle. This is because this monster will give a debuff speed where all enemy monsters will have a speed decrease by 1, and all Armor from the opposing monster will decrease by 2.
Venari CrystalsmithFifthThank Heal, DispelThe main reason I chose Venari Crystalsmith is because it has a Thank Heal ability, where the HP of the monster in the first position will be restored 1/3 of the main HP at every turn of this monster. In addition, this monster will be an attacker in this formation because it has 2 range attack base damage and will get a +1 range attack buff from General Sloan so that the final attack damage possessed is 3 range attacks.
Stich LeechLastSneak, Life LeechIn the last position, I chose Stich Leech because this monster has great damage, namely 3 melee attacks and also has Life Leech ability where every time an attack from this monster hits the target's HP, this monster's HP will increase. Monster i i is a Sneak monster with the target of attack is the opponent's monster in the last position. This might surprise you.

I've also included a youtube video of this battle that you can play right away.

This battle is quite interesting, even though this is a Little League battle, because even though it has a much different amount of damage, but because of the strategy arrangement that utilizes buffs and debuffs from monster abilities, I can get victory. What Doesn't Kill You rulesets that give Enrage abilities to all monsters provide interesting performances and unexpected surprises in the course of the match.

STRATEGY DISCUSSION

The strategy I applied worked very well in this battle. This is because the battle with Melee Myhem has Little League arulesets, so the monsters that can be used are very limited. However, if you get Melee Mayhem rulesets but are not in Little League rulesets, then it would be nice to consider strategies such as:

  • Using a Tank with Thorn ability, so that melee attacks will turn to the attacker.
  • Use Inspire monsters, to increase damage from melee attacks.
  • Using Demoralize monsters, to reduce Melee attacks damage from all enemy monsters.
