A dónde Fuimos?

No dejen Basura

English version

Hello friends, today I come to tell you about a super ride we did to spend a different day with family and friends.

The outing was a walk to a place called the pot, about 20 minutes from the city is the entrance to start.

Where did we go?

We went about 20 minutes from the city of Cabudare, entering the municipality of Simon Planas, there begins a trail of 16 kilometers, steep mountains and roads difficult to access, about 3 hours of walking, and down to the springs about 45 minutes.
However, it is worth the whole journey.

departure

We left already with friends and part of the family from the entrance of cabudare, right from the plaza los ilustres, from there we left in a transport to the entrance of the hike, it was super fun, everyone arrived on time, we got ready and left, heading to the adventure.

Right at the entrance we couldn't stop taking pictures 😃, everyone cheering and looking forward to a different day.

The train tracks.
We had to take pictures on the train tracks, these old tracks are almost from the colonial times, where it was mainly used for commercial transportation, it worked for a long time, nowadays it is not working, but it is a great place for some good pictures.

The road.
From there on it is just walking, it is ideal for hiking and it is not for everyone, in itself it is 16 kilometers, which we might think is not much but the road is very steep, there are almost vertical climbs, so the physical condition is very important, but, we were prepared, we already knew how the road was so we prepared ourselves, we enjoyed the road, step by step, without haste and so the road becomes more digestible for everyone.

The scenery

During the way, the landscapes are spectacular, you enjoy a lot, the contact with nature is very close, and the site gives you a great peace, we could not miss the photos in strategic viewpoints, also the weather helps a lot because it is very cool, we enjoyed the views, the mountains in short, everything.

After 3 hours of walking

IMG_20220904_121724.jpg
After 3 hours, we arrived at the beginning of the road to the springs, just as you can see, after 3 hours we had not finished.
We arrived at the end of one trail and the beginning of another.
I will explain, once you manage to climb the road, you arrive at the entrance of the springs which is another road, a little more difficult but fortunately it is downhill.

Road to the springs.
We rested after 3 hours of walking for a few minutes and now we went down to the springs, it is a road that lasts about 45 minutes, you can not hurry because it is downhill, it is steep and it is not easy, so assess well how to go down.
We did it calmly, step by step, taking pictures, recording videos, enjoying the road, I hope you do the same.
There are parts of the trail that you should be very careful.

The springs

IMG_20220904_121952.jpg
If we enjoyed the road, no doubt the springs are a visual spectacle, crystal clear water, spectacular waterfalls, many strategic places to take pictures, there are waterfalls with internal caves where the photos will come out super super spectacular, after that walk the bath is a blessing.

The water.
The water is super crystal clear, and is somewhat cold, very bearable, very fresh, the waterfalls show many rock formations that are very beautiful, I recommend that when you get to the springs go down about 50 meters following the river, going down about 3 wells, so you get to one of the most beautiful, which are wide and are deep.
In addition to this it has a space to place things, and make a very good picnic, and has one of the best places to give you a very good dive, plus you can take some super sensational photos.

Time to Climb

Farewell e about 3 or 4 hours in the springs we had to climb, since the way back was long, we try to take all the garbage we carry, and also clean up garbage from others, yes so it is, a lot of garbage left in these sites.
We got ready and went up, it is a little more difficult the way up, we did it in short steps with breaks and so we could get there without so many problems, besides we had to go back to the entrance.
Going down the mountain.
After about an hour we managed to leave the road to the springs and now it was the other way around, the end of the road to the river and the beginning of the mountain, now we had to go down the mountain, it is a little more comfortable because now we go down, but it was 3 hours more going down.
But after 3 hours we arrived

At the end we spent a different time, a nice day, it was a great hike that demands a lot but it is doable.

Recommendations

1. Physical condition
If it is true that you should not be a professional climber, you should have a good physical condition because it is a demanding route.

2. Hydration.
It is important to take good hydration, keep yourself hydrated without exaggerating.

3. Comfortable clothes and shoes.
Both clothing and shoes should be comfortable and ideal for the hike, sometimes a bad choice of some of these items can make the difference between having a good or bad time.

Easy to make food.
If I recommend you not to complicate with the food, take something easy to prepare, sandwiches are a very good option, something easy and light are ideal, do not take anything to cook soul as the load is greater and may not be able to prepare food and therefore have a bad time.

Take a guide or someone with experience.

While the trail is not a trail where it is easy to get lost, bringing someone with experience or who has done this hike before can make a big difference, as there are detours where someone can get lost.

Do not leave trash behind.
Bring bags and return with your trash, it is very unfortunate to see how these sites are stained with garbage from people who do not take conscience, also the idea is that these places are maintained for a long time.

Do not scratch the stones.

The waterfalls molded the stones in a natural and spectacular way, do not damage this work of thousands of years with Here was Hannibal or Alicia I love you gross let's try that the photos are witnesses of our walk.

Well my friends I hope you can visit this area and share with yours, if you go I appreciate your invitation.
See you next time
