Evening dress, high heels, perfect make up and shining eyes...

Her eyes were sinking in his. He was in a nice suit, with a gentle smile and his look in her eyes. They both were dancing under the stars in the park. It was very late and the park was empty. They were sharing the same earphone. At that moment they also shared all their love, their two souls, their nerve endings and wonderful sensations. Kissing and dancing under the stars, what can be better…?

She smiled to herself and shook her head as if she wanted to throw out the feeling, the image and the dream. She had heard so many times from so many people that daydreaming about the past or the future for a woman her age and her status is ridiculous.

In the country she lived that marital status of hers and her age seemed like a line beyond which one should not expect anything eccentric, romantic, adventurous and unexpected.

But somehow, deep inside she was sure that her better times have not come yet, she still has a LOT to expect and many things to live. As to those who gave her the advice of coming down from the clouds, they never knew where those clouds were.

She was either going back to her memories and living once more the brightest moments, or was looking far ahead and dreaming of the upcoming events and emotions. Meanwhile the years were passing, putting new lines beyond which one should not expect anything eccentric, romantic, adventurous and unexpected and the present stayed empty. In fact not empty, but filled with the past and the future and not with itself.

Days were drugging one after the other. Their emptiness was irritating her and she was becoming annoyed with everyday grounded actions, which had to be done. She was taking the iron and wished she took a flower; she was taking out the garbage and wished she took out her hubby for a date which they didn’t have for ages.

Days drugged slowly taking away the self confidence about her intelligence, sexuality, looks, originality and creative abilities.

Some people thought of her as of a strange woman with weird ideas, but she didn’t care because the ideas were hers and she loved them. She knew that one day she will turn to all those people from the other path and wave good bye forever.

One day she will get the courage to take the first step to the “road less travelled” and from where it will lead her all those people will look too far, too small and too unimportant.

She knew that the day will come but she also knew that she is not ready yet. She also knew that once she is ready, she will feel it immediately and go ahead.

The day was coming to its end and she was still lost in the web of thoughts from different periods, analysis of her feelings, understanding of her current family issues and dreams.

She closed her eyes again and tried to get back the image of the couple dancing under the skies, totally dissolved in each other. She knows that in the “public” road of life, that does not last forever. She also knows that maybe some don’t even have anything to get back to and remember. But what she can’t define is the points when it all starts and the point when it all goes away…

She thought of all those loving, passionate couples at the beginning…then she recalled how ugly some broke up at the end.

She came up with one of her weirdest theories that most probably all those pure and strong feelings don’t disappear, they simply leave the couple and go to some place. An isolated place, where the outside dirt, routine, dishonesty and unfairness will not be able to damage them. And if one day the couple gets the courage to look for the feelings and find that place, feelings will stay with the couple forever.

When she finds the path to that place, she will grab a pair of high heel shoes, wear her evening dress and take the MP3 player with earphones…

That place simply can’t be without the stars, the empty park and her hubby.
