My entry -Introduce Your City Community Contest #2 - Sports
Thank you @hive-190931 love the creativity of ideas and just had to join in again, a decision that made my Sunday a beautiful one as I went exploring for sporting venues a little farer afield from my beach community.
An overall picture of the sport action warranted a drive 10 minute to a sporting complex tucked away safely from busy in rural green acreage. There are a number of options for adults and children who wish to compete in their sport of choice or, for those who want to enjoy a leisure weekend hit, bounce, kick or float. Lots of parents take their kids here for practice and games. Naturally it is highly popular.
Keen lap fitness swimmers start the day's action in the 25 metre pool. Children and adults use this facility everyday.
The football club is across from the pool and currently closed for a summer break. I managed to take a photo through the wire fence here.......
...... but was able to luckily walk through an opened gate down further to take a pic of the playing field designed for both soccer and football games.
Opposite are the netball courts .
The grassed tennis court was currently booked out to a couple of families having a bit of fun.
The more serious competitive aspect to tennis is available with the tennis club for those players who want more than a hit and giggle.
The Coolum Bowls Club is always busy with people of all ages playing. It is located in the middle of the town.

Back in the relaxed atmosphere of my little beach touristy town more relaxed leisure sport activities you will see runners, cyclists and walkers all the day.
(This lovely older lady with a walking stick was excising herself and her little dog.)
Playing on the Resorts' tennis courts is a big draw card for all ages, happy voices and rolls of laughter fly over the trees on the breeze in through the doors and windows of nearby units and homes.
The ocean is a fabulous source of exercise both for the weekender beach goers and the Surf Lifesavers training the young nippers. Not to forget the surfers and surf kites skimming over the waves.
To finish off a longish post Introducing my town's community sports here is a hopscotch game permanently painted on cement for children and any fit adult who is daring enough to hop and jump.
Oh such fun, reminiscing thoughts filled my head of my school days as I hopped on my own when nobody was looking.
Thank you for visiting my community once again, checking out the fun diversity of sports in the many different towns and cities is always fun.
