The tendency is to write 2021! That will stay for a while I think.
Today I had another long day of tutoring. But in the evening I sat under the bare sky enjoying a cup of hot tea, thinking back to the words of Master Sri Akarshana (who I follow very often on youtube):
To make room for new things in your life, you must leave old things behind. 'Pick up your phone!', he said. 'And in one click delete all your old photos. Make room for new memories.'
I grabbed my phone and looked at the 3000 photos in my gallery. A lump in my throat. Did I have to delete all that?
It was actually pretty crazy. Why do we hold on so tightly to old memories? Shouldn't we be happy that we are still alive and able to make new memories?
But then again, the old is familiar to us. The new terrifying. Yet we should move forward with confidence. If we are still alive, we are for a reason. We have the chance to do other fun stuff. We should be grateful for that.
Unfortunately, I still could not delete all 3000 photos in one click. All my tutoring stuff is in between. So I will still have to filter what should stay and what can go. Otherwise I have to make a lot of exercises again. 馃槅
Thank you for reading.
Don't forget to ask yourself: 'I am alive, but am I really living my life?'
