Peace can come in many versions and all of them can come according to your dreams.

Peace in my mind is about green things and also has water elements. But of course everyone has their own definition of peace. Then, to create a relaxing atmosphere in a certain area, in our house building or in the office, we can combine several definitions of peace, either from our own definition or those closest to us.

I think this is not just about luxury but it is purely about how we can feel completely peaceful when we are in that space area. Therefore, in this blog, I want to share with you the inspiration for a relaxing space that I think can bring us to create peace, tranquility.

At that time, I walked in the area of a villa that made my heart warm which was filled with happiness from the sense of peace that had gathered within me. I feel grateful to be able to walk around this Villa area even though I did not stay in this Villa area.

This Villa area is dominated by classic architecture from the Java region in Indonesia. The classic design is dominated by wooden materials with a combination of green plants as ornamental plants that create shade and tranquility in the area around this villa.

An area like this will be familiar to those of you who have seen Indonesian films in the past, especially in rural areas. It looks peaceful, although it does not seem luxurious today. But in the past, I think buildings like this were also magnificent.

Buildings designed in Javanese architectural style have the characteristic of buildings that have a roof shape like a triangle, the shape of a mountain that is indeed widely found around Java Island.

Here the shape of this Javanese building is called Joglo. The roof uses clay tiles. The tiles are arranged in layers which add to the aesthetics of the typical Javanese architectural style.

In addition to adding an aesthetic impression, of course, tiles that use clay material function to make the area inside the building feel cool. With a very high level of sunlight during the day in Indonesia, especially on Java Island itself.

A typical Javanese house looks short because it usually only has a one-story area but is wide to the side. Then there is the characteristic of the terraces that look so peaceful. The terrace area for relaxing is dominated by wood material. Also with green ornamental plants that create peace like my definition.

In the relaxing area we don't have to add a swimming pool element but we can add a small pond element for an ornamental fish pond. Swimming pools do require us to have intensive maintenance and are relatively expensive for the swimming pool.

So for simpler and cheaper maintenance we can just add an ornamental fish pond. Of course, even though it will only be an ornamental fish pond, the water element will perfect the place as a place to relax that will calm the minds of people who are in that place.

Then, you can add comfortable pillows to the joglo building near the pool which is usually used to sit and relax. The joglo near the pool looks like a room with a typical mosquito net. This represents comfort when we are in our own room. Hope this place also inspires you ❤️
