There are days when I wake up,
smile at myself, like someone embracing the sun,
make my coffee, its enchanting aroma,
in my nightclothes, like a gentle toner.
Still in my nightclothes,
wearing an old T-shirt, witness to a thousand stories,
and lace knickers that hint at
delicacy, laughter and some memories.
Dishevelled, like the wind at sea,
my hair dances, free in its flight,
the laziness of the morning begins to embrace,
every sip of coffee, every ray of longing.
The light enters softly, like a furtive kiss,
in this simple routine, in this serene home,
I love to remember you, even though you are distant,
in the touch of the day, in the taste of fulfilment.
