Rain

Then the heavens opened
And down it came
Hour after hour
More of the same

Yesterdays drought
Turned into a flood
Now everywhere I look
Is nothing but mud

Where once there was grass
Is now a creek
The quiet meandering stream
Now a river at peak

The dust that was there
Is now in the past
The riverlets of water
Are now raging fast

IMG_0339 (2).JPG

Stock on the bank
Are starting to low
All of them wondering
Where did the grass go

I'm lucky my house
Is up on a hill
Or I might look like Noah
With an ark to fill

All images are my own.
