The opposite to humble is arrogant...
Arrogance is a trait I don't particularly like. To me arrogance can be the height of rudeness..
Being humble on the other hand is an attractive quality. To down play what you do and make others feel that they have worth is truly a great gift. It makes people want to be around you because they feel valued.
It's human nature to want people to know when you've achieved something that you are proud of because it feels good when others say "Wow well done, that's awesome" but it can be pushed to far when you think no one else can do it better!!!
It's a fine balance that we need to learn as we go through life..
