Hallo liebe Steemians,
Hello dear Steemians,

so schön es im Frankenland auch ist, so gerne besuche ich auch diese eine Liebe, die - lt. einem bekannten deutschen Liedtext - nie zu Ende gehen wird. Ja, bin ich dort nicht, habe ich solche Sehnsucht und verliere den Verstand, denn ich will wieder an die Nordsee und zurück nach Westerland

As beautiful as it is in Franconia, I also like to visit this one love, which - according to a well-known German rock music song - will never end. Yes, if I cannot be there, I have such a longing and lose my mind, because I want to go back to the Northern Sea and back to Westerland (Sylt Island)

Ab Hamburg verändert sich bereits deutlich die Luft. Sie ist (oder wirkt es nur so?) frischer und salzhaltiger. Insofern mag ich Hamburg als Etappenziel der 735 km langen Fahrt an die Küste. Der Duft der Hagebutten in den Dünen liegt jedenfalls ganzjährig in meiner Nase.

The air is already changing significantly from Hamburg. It is fresher and more salty (or does it just seem that way?). In this respect, I like Hamburg as the destination of the 735 km trip to the coast. The scent of rose hips in the dunes is in my nose all year round.

Immerhin gut 8 Tage hatten wir dieses Jahr auf Sylt. Das ist viel zu wenig, aber immerhin besser als nichts... ;-)

After all, we had a good 8 days this year on Sylt. That is much too short, but at least better than nothing... ;-)
