It's widely known in most of the world, that in Cuba's streets prevail a sense of safety and peace. Although this is not 100% absolute or perfect, anyone can walk through most of Havana without worrying about being assaulted or involved in an episode of violence. Of course, this is not coincidence, but the result of the fact that the majority of the population is educated, which is compulsory and free of charge up to 9th grade, and works. The rest of the education is also public and free, but it's no longer compulsory. As a result, most people are aware of the consequences of committing a crime and therefore prefer to work and earn their living in an honest way. It's thanks to them, to the good Cuban people, that this country is a safe and peaceful place for both nationals and foreigners. It's to them that I dedicate this photographic essay taken randomly in the streets of Havana. Enjoy it!
