So in the UK the prisons are in an awful state.
Lack of money has made it impossible to keep the staffing levels required to keep on to of the current prison service.

Then they messed around with pensions and privatised some of the prisons.

Now we have low moral. Low recruitment. Low retention. And now.

We have low pay resulting in stories like this one.
