Yesterday, I had my time to spend it in my farm . I got so busy last week attending meetings and submitting reports being the livelihood focal in our municipal government. Mahirap maging government employee sa municipal government. You have to do multi-tasking . You would be doing the favours of your colleagues or else you鈥檒l be backstab. Even simple communication letter will be Asked as favour to you to do! Haist! Excuse me po, maam / sir parihas po tayong may ginagawa at parihas po tayong binabayaran ng gobyerno!

To relieve me from this stressful environment that I had during the past 5 days I let my self enjoy working on my farm during weekend.Farming is my stress reliever.

Last Sunday I was able to clean my chicken house in the farm. I got surprised of what I saw. My pullet (young hen) already give me eggs. This would mean that from this day onward will always have eggs in the refrigerator.

My chickens are free-range , zero antibiotics and hormones. They are raised naturally. For the about 7 months waiting for this to come egg laying stage is for real now.

antibiotics-free eggs would be available always at home. This would assure me that the food that my children eat are safe.
I guess farmers nowadays should practice organic or natural principles on thier farm to ensure that the food they produce are safe to consume by thier buyers.

My chickens give me 43 eggs in 5days . 25 of which are already brooded and the remaining 18 eggs were brought home to be our food. I would harvesting next week same numbers of eggs, that would be enough for our consumption for the week.

(25 lucky eggs that will be hatched after 18 days)

I piece of experience I want to share, some chicken are not cooperative and kind (hahaha). Thier wild instinct will be observe when they are brooding some eggs. Terrible experience. Hen tend to peck you or worst fly and scratch your face.
