The United States Army is looking into ways to regenerate limbs among amputee patients. The future of treating amputations may include regrowing muscles, bones, and even nerve tissues. Even though this practice sounds outlandish, it is common among other species to partake. The long list of animals includes: spiders, lizards, salamanders, starfish, deer, axolotl, etc.
Although it is an amazing prospective for the future, the research seems to be far out of reach. Army Lt. Col. David Sanders states "We're not quite there yet" in a Business Insider article on the new interesting technology. The future seems bright for amputee victims with ideas to them regain their lost limbs.
