Peony or Huayruro.
Original edited photograph
Among the shrubs where I live, I found this species of seed, whose bright color caught my attention. I grabbed some and took them with me, went to the computer and googled to find out a little bit about these beautiful seeds.

It bears the name Peony or Huayruro, it is said that in ancient times they were attributed with the curative properties of epilepsy and it was used to scare away evil spirits.

It is considered a good luck charm because the color black and red symbolizes good fortune and abundance, the perfect balance that attracts happiness.

With them you can make necklaces, bracelets, rings, pendants, etc, are quite striking, many newborns are placed a necklace to avoid the evil eye.

I do not know; if all these magical things that are attributed to him are true or not, if I assure you that I will not echo much about them. What does call my attention in everything I could read, is that its existence goes back long before the time of Christ; Surprising, isn't it?
