I think we have all been hazed when we started our professional practice and my anecdote is just about that, fortunately it is not something serious or something that damaged a client but it is an anecdote that whenever we remember it gives us a lot of laughter with my family, although it is a little bit bittersweet.
I studied law and to practice law in Venezuela you must register in the social security of the lawyer and register in your state, this process is a bit cumbersome and takes a while, because for that you must fulfill some legal formalities. About two months after obtaining the title, I had already fulfilled these formalities and I could practice law and I got my first client: to make a document for the sale of a car.
Everything went very well, I drafted the document, I introduced it in the notary's office, it was signed, I went for the client's copy and yes, in fact I gave it to him, everything was fine, the gentleman paid me and I kept the money in a folder that I was carrying.
I came home and surprise surprise: I had no money, it came out of the folder, I searched and searched everywhere and nothing, unfortunately that day I had come home by bus, if they fell out there nobody told me.
And that's how I lost the money of my first fees, from there I learned that money always goes in the purse
hahaha!
