Sometimes speaking something into fruition is all you need for it to actually happen. Not to say that you don’t have to also put in the work. But that’s what doesn’t get televised anyway. AveryDamnDay and Domo are two artists that speaking their future into fruition. So it would only be right that their new single be called “Im Up Next”.
Im Up Next appears on AveryDamnDay and Domo’s joint project called “Days and Nights” (click here). The beat has a familiar recipe that is usually associated with street sound, but when that 808 comes in. Gawd. The song takes on a whole different energy. It’s that explanation point at the end of a sentence! Like a Pusha T ad-lib “Yugh”.
Just like the cover of their album both artists bring different elements to this track. AveryDamnDay starts out rapping the chorus which explains why the song is called “Im Up Next”. From there AveryDamnDay goes into his verse where he’s able to find his pocket as well as talk his talk. Domo is the other artist featured on the record. On the track he explains how he has held his city down and most importantly why he is UP NEXT!
