If time is of the essence Detroit artist Ang is making sure to make every second count with her single "Tick Tock". The Detroit rapper dropped 3 track project called "Wanna Move" on her SoundCloud page. The nursery-like intro is fitting because this track is slept on. But it's the hard pounding 808 bass kick that really wakes up the track. The 3 part bass drop has influences of West Coast Bay Area production that can be heard in songs such as "Thotiana" and "Bounce Out With That". This makes it easy to you lose track of time which isn't long being that the track comes in at just under 3 minutes.
Smokin on green,
Now and Later,
Yea you know he comin thru Now and Later,
Ang takes the lead by delivering the first verse of the track. She starts off her verse with some pretty clever word-play and allows the track to breathe as she even has time to chant "Twerk". When listening to the track the potential is definitely there. Additionally her lyrics suggest she is a woman that knows what she wants, and is experienced enough to knows she's gonna get it.
>I poured some lean in my Lipton,
This is not yellow, this Crimson
Spill my shit you'll end of missin
The second verse is contributed by artist ZaySlatt. His machine-like flow spits from syllable to syllable without missing the beat. He also shows his ability to switch up his flow as well as his rhythmic pattern on the track. This is not his first record, and it shows. He knows his strengths and he sticks to them on this track.
