I had recently broken up. My friend didn't know this. She was busy making fun as usual. I was enraged.
I uttered few awful words and vented out all my frustration.
She was clearly taken aback.
“All right,” She left.
After mulling over the incident, I realised what a jerk I had been. Next day, I apologised to her and told everything.
She smiled.
“But why didn't you react?” I asked.
“I knew you were disturbed,” she said, “To be honest, even I was. And so, I chose to leave instead.”
She was spot on.
- It's easy to shout back, when someone shouts.
- It's easy to get provoked, when someone hurts.
Maturity is when a person hurts you, and you try to understand their situation & don’t hurt them back.—(Unknown)
