Hi friends.
Yesterday, a blood donation drive was held in our town, and I decided to join the charity initiative as well.
I was always reluctant to donate blood, but there were always some obstacles on this path: sometimes I was not 18 years old, sometimes I was sick, sometimes I was underweight, and so on. This time I went with the clear goal of (finally!) donating that blood. Even the exam set that day did not stop me.
Thus, I came to the hospital in a good mood, as it happens when you do a good deed. And everything would have been fine, but after an hour in the queue due to the negligent attitude of the nurses to their work and the general rudeness of the staff, I turned on the "kill" mode. I haven't been so angry in a long time. It got to the point that when I took my blood test to the laboratory, I told the employees here everything that I thought about them at that moment. Culturally, of course. The people who stood in front of me in the queue politely let me be the first to donate, directly, the blood itself. I imagine how I ironed then, probably, the sparks were pouring from my eyes. Nevertheless, when I was already lying on the couch, I was approached by two very nice nurses who were pleasant to talk to. And these are caring women who have asked me many times if everything is fine.

Speaking about the process itself, it was painless for me. I have not been afraid of needles, injections and blood since childhood. When I was little, my dad and I went to give me blood from a vein for some tests. I don't remember how, but I even liked this procedure, and it didn't seem scary. Now it's the same, I'm indifferent to such things. I didn't feel dizzy, I didn't feel bad, and I quickly went to the exam after that. They took the standard - 450 ml. The only thing is, after that I really wanted to drink. But this is a normal process.
So, donating blood is not scary and painful at all, as, for some reason, many people think. Plus, it's always nice to do a good deed. And maybe your blood will help save another person's life.
Thanks for reading this post. Until the next meetings)
