Cannabis is being considered to be removed from the Schedule 1 classification.

Cannabis is currently considered to be a dangerous drug with no positive applications by the DEA. As a schedule 1 drug, it is confirmed to be a negative drug with no beneficial attributes.

President Biden is considering removing cannabis from it's Schedule 1 classification. This is huge. President Biden is considered to be a hard liner on cannabis legalization and has not favored decriminalization of the substance.

In my mind, the states legalizing cannabis and the removal of cannabis from the schedule 1 drug list will make changes. The SAFE Act and the current bill proposing interstate commerce for cannabis products between states who have leagalized cannabis sales are making Federal legalization more likely.

Biden needs to work with states who have legalized both medical and recreational cannabis to build this budding industry (no pun intended). Much is at stake, and the industry will provide many jobs. More pardons for cannabis crimes need to be conducted as well. We have a chance to right the ship on cannabis in America, and we should act sooner rather than later.
