Summary:
Ana Frank is undoubtedly the historical character that has contributed most to keep alive the sad memory of the Nazi holocaust, one of the greatest atrocities in history, helping us to know those horrors in all its dimension and rawness.

After the invasion of Holland, the Frank, German Jewish merchants emigrated to Amsterdam in 1933, hid from the Gestapo in an attic attached to the building where Ana's father had his offices.

There were eight people and they were held from June 1942 to August 1944, the date they were arrested and sent to concentration camps.

In that place and in the most precarious conditions, Ana, at that time a thirteen-year-old girl, wrote her shocking Diary: a unique testimony in its genre about Nazi horror and barbarism, and about Ana's own feelings and experiences. and his companions.

Anne Frank died in the Bergen-Belsen camp in March 1945. But her Journal will never die.

Annelies Marie Frank was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). She is the second daughter of Otto Frank and Edith Holländer. His sister Margot is then three years old. The Franks are German Jews. The Frank and the Holländer are Jewish families who have lived in Germany for several centuries.

Ana's father works in the family bank; the mother is a housewife. For Margot and Ana it is a happy time. In the neighborhood where they live there are many children to play. However, his parents are worried. Adolf Hitler and his party blame the Jews for social and economic problems, turning them into scapegoats. Anti-Semitism in Germany increases.

On June 12, 1942, Anne Frank turns thirteen. For his birthday, they give him a diary. It is your best gift. He begins to write in it immediately: "I hope to be able to confiártelo everything (...) and I hope that you are for me a great support".

In this newspaper he recorded his experiences in a hiding place or attic built in an office building, while hiding with his family of the Nazis in Amsterdam during the Second World War. His family was captured and taken to different German concentration camps, where all would die except his father, Otto. Ana was sent to the Nazi concentration camp in Auschwitz on September 2, 1944 and, later, to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. He died there of typhoid fever on March 12, 1945, a few days before he was released.

Works
After the arrest of the hiding ones, Miep and Bep, two of the people who hid the stay of the Frank family and other Jews in Amsterdam during the Nazi invasion, had found Ana's newspapers lying on the floor of the house behind. Miep had kept them all the time in a drawer of his desk. Upon learning of Ana's death, she gave her father Otto Frank the diaries, notebooks and loose sheets with Ana's notes.

Years later, Otto Frank, published the famous newspaper known in Spanish as the Diary of Anne Frank
