"I think we're going to see bitcoin hitting the $60,000 mark, but I also think we're going to see bitcoin hitting the $5,000 mark" said Hosp, co-founder and president of TenX.
In August 2017, Tom Lee, co-founder and head of research at Fundstrat Global Advisors, predicted bitcoin's rally above $10,000 and declared that the digital currency would outperform equities through the end of the year.
He also said:
"We think that by mid-2018, we're going to be part of the way there, and that's why we get bitcoin to $20,000," he said. "If bitcoin can actually rise close to that $20,000 level in the first half of this year, I think in the second half of 2018, we'll see a move bigger than that".
Lex Sokolin "Bitcoin has such magnificent network effects that I don't see another altcoin that's a little better at payments" or some other function right now, Autonomous' Global Director of fintech strategy".
A lot of analysts also said that Bitcoin should "easily double" or even triple in 2018. :)
But some of analysts saying that Bitcoin doesnt worth that much like now, his real value is about 1, 780$ what means that bitcoin will fall in 2018 for about 80%-85%.
Will more institutions join the fray???
Already, after mostly laughing, then shunning, then finally taking note, the Wall Street-types have been forced to pay attention to Bitcoin. It has led to more institutions either accepting Bitcoin or even joining the fray.
MY OPINION
I think it will grow because of the increasing use. By my opinion it should hit about 45 000$ to 50 000$ but in one moment it could crash, what will happen first?...i dont know :/ Maybe it sounds crazy when i say 50 000$ but in June 2009. 1 BTC = 0.0001 USD, funny isnt it? Now 1 BTC = ~14 000$, so everything is possible :)
