I love to travel because it makes me happy and travelling from one place to another gives me the opportunity to meet new friends, different cultures and etc. More so if all of the expenses are for free. Yeah! I travelled abroad for 3 consecutive years and it was all for free, sponsored by my foster parents in Germany and my Uncle in Dubai. For that, I always feel blessed beyond measure until my last breath.
So for today's blog my dear Hive friends, I'm gonna share with you the first place I visited when I went to Germany way back in the year 2017. Just sit back and enjoy reading until the end.
By the way, Hennef is the place where my foster parents are living. The moment I stepped in to their very relaxing and beautiful place, I felt so happy that I arrived there safe and sound. Germany is one of the places I dreamed to visit and thank God I went there for the first time in forever.
As of this moment, my foster mother asked us (me, my husband and my son) to visit her. Yeah, I am excited for it but not this time. I am pregnant and not applicable to travel to far away places. In God's perfect time we will be there with God's grace.
The moment I went there was spring time but it is very cold for me. That is why I used to wear 4 under shirts then the thick jacket afterwards. But during this time I forgot to wear my gloves which is why I felt so cold during this hiking and walking going to this place. Super! It is really worth it in the end.
The first thing that made me amazed about this place was they have different plants were planted there. I have not got to take picture to it since I was busy reading their names and the benefits of it. This photo I have was when I decided to have picture with this very informative spot here. I asked my foster mother who was with me to take it for me.
This castle is medieval where it is very visible from far. It is built up on a rock above the Sieg river. From there, I was able to enjoy looking at the aerial view of this very breathtaking place. I never mind the coldness I felt, what's in my mind that time was that I will savor my moment of my stay there.
There is a portion there where you can read the history of the said place. Since it was written in German I don't know what it means. I never bothered asking my foster mother then. She was just kept on telling me how it built who is the owner of this castle and all the events happened when there were people staying there.
The Sieg river at the back is so clean. The atmosphere in this place is so wonderful, no wonder may it be locals or tourists would love to visit here again and again. Feeling the cold air soothing to one's skin is the best. It is relaxing while taking your journey there to the old times.
Taking pictures in every corner of this castle was what I did. Making use of the time and enjoying the moment as well.
This is my first time entering this kind of castle. The outer and the interior designs are unique. Maybe it's for the protection of the people inside from the enemy. It is difficult to destroy because of the stone surrounded to it. The minimal doors as well are not that easy to get in.
Though I have experienced a little bit jet lag that time but my foster mother never wasted any minutes and seconds for me to have fun and avoid being bored there. Her way of thinking is different from mine so I just gave her the chance because she did it just for my own sake. And she was in vacation and had no class since she is a teacher also which is why we make use of the time then.
That's it for today's blog my dear amazing fellow bloggers. Thank you so much for reading until here! Until my next blog.. See you around. Stay safe and God bless everyone.
