The Convention on the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage was adopted by the General Conference of UNESCO at its seventeenth session in Paris on 16 November 1972. This Convention seeks to preserve for generations to come the natural and cultural certificates of universal and exceptional value. Morocco ratified this Convention on 28 October 1975 and was elected to the World Heritage Committee in 1995 and a member of the World Heritage Bureau in 1996.salé.jpg
